The Pact for the Future adopted by world leaders at the 51勛圖 on 22 September "is about turbocharging the Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris Agreement, accelerating a just transition away from fossil fuels, and securing a peaceful and livable future for everyone on our planet," the UN Secretary-General said at the opening of the Summit of the Future. He also emphasized that, "we stand and fall not by adopting agreements, but by our actions and their impact on the lives of the people we serve."
